52 26 020 Removing and installing/replacing backrest for left or right rear seat

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove trim on C-pillar on left or right, see 51 43 230 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING TRIM ON C-PILLAR AT BOTTOM LEFT OR RIGHT .
- Remove rear seat , see 52 26 000 Removing and installing/replacing left or right rear seat .
Right backrest:
NOTE:
Use a short Torx attachment to release screw (1).
- Release screw (1).
Tightening torque: 52 26 04AZ , see 52 26 REAR SEATS (THROUGH-LOADING SYSTEM) .
- Fold backrest forwards slightly (2)
- Pull backrest forwards and outwards out of center mount (3)
Left backrest:
- Release screw (1).
Tightening torque: 52 26 04AZ , see 52 26 REAR SEATS (THROUGH-LOADING SYSTEM) .
- Fold backrest forwards slightly (3)
- Pull backrest forwards and outwards out of center mount (4)
