51 12 157 Replacing rear bumper trim

NOTE: Pictures created using the X6 3.0 i as an example. There may be differences in detail in the case of other models.
Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Version with Park Distance Control (PDC): 

Remove ultrasonic transducer (1), see REAR LEFT ULTRASONIC TRANSDUCER , REAR RIGHT ULTRASONIC TRANSDUCER , REAR MIDDLE LEFT ULTRASONIC TRANSDUCER , and REAR MIDDLE RIGHT ULTRASONIC TRANSDUCER .

Unclip wiring harness (2).

Installation: 

Check wiring harness for damage, replace if necessary.

Make sure wiring harness is correctly seated.

Remove panel from bumper side section (1), see 51 12 210 Removing and installing trim on rear left or right bumper side section .

Remove lower bumper trim section (2), see 51 12 162 Removing and installing/replacing rear bottom middle bumper trim .
