00 00 ... Notes on Maneuvering In Event Of Power Failure

NOTE: In the event of a power failure or electrical fault, the electromechanical parking brake and the transmission interlock can be manually released.

Observe following sequence:

  1. Secure vehicle against rolling, e.g. with chocks.
  2. Manually release electromechanical parking brake. See 34 41 ... OVERVIEW OF PARKING BRAKE .
  3. Then manually release interlock of automatic transmission. See 24 34 ... MANUAL EMERGENCY RELEASE OF TRANSMISSION LOCK .
