11 22 000 Removing and installing or replacing the flywheel (automatic M57T2-SCR)

Necessary preliminary work:

Disconnect negative battery terminal. See 61 21 010 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING BATTERY
Remove and install front assembly underbody protection
Remove and install automatic transmission. See REMOVING AND INSTALLING AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

Block flywheel (1) with special tool

11 9 260/11 9 266/11 9 264.

Unfasten flywheel bolts.

Installation note:

Tightening torque 11 22 1AZ, see 11 22 1AZ in 11 22 FLYWHEEL

Flywheel (1) is secured with an dowel pin.

Fit new flywheel bolts.

Clean crankshaft thread for flywheel bolts.

Remove flywheel (1).

Assemble engine.
