51 24... Removing and installing/replacing angle transmitter for rear lid actuation (electrohydraulic-fully automatic)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Lever out cable holder (1).

Lever out cover (2) and remove.

(3) Luggage compartment lid

Release screw (1).

NOTE: Before nuts (3) are released, a 2nd person must open rear lid and hold angle transmitter (2).

Unscrew nuts (3).

Tightening torque 51 24 7AZ. Refer to BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Remove angle transmitter (2) with retaining bracket (3).

(4) Right rear lid hinge

installation: 

Angle transmitter (2) is initialized by automatic closing and opening once.
