51 24 150 Removing and installing/replacing hydraulic unit for rear lid actuation (from 02/2003) (electrohydraulic-fully automatic): Notes

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Have a cleaning cloth and an oil drip tray ready to catch emerging fluid.
Follow notes and instructions for automatic rear lid actuation (electrohydraulic-fully automatic). Refer to 51 24... NOTES AND INSTRUCTIONS ON AUTOMATIC REAR LID ACTUATION (FROM 02/2003) (ELECTROHYDRAULIC-FULLY AUTOMATIC) .
Remove right luggage compartment wheel arch trim. Refer to 51 47 161 REMOVING AND INSTALLING / REPLACING RIGHT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT WHEEL ARCH TRIM .

Unscrew nuts (1).

Remove holder and pull out hydraulic unit (2).

Disconnect plug connections (3).

When removing hydraulic cylinder only:

Unhook cable holders (5) and feed out hoses (4).

Tightening torque 51 24 4AZ. Refer to BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Tightening torque 51 24 7AZ. Refer to BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES .
