51 12 156 Removing and installing rear bumper trim: Notes

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove trim on bumper trim, refer to 51 12 080 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING TRIM ON BUMPER TRIM
Remove trim on rear light, refer to 51 13 440 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING TRIM ON LEFT OR RIGHT REAR LIGHT

Build date up to 03/2005 only:

Remove middle body molding, refer to 51 12 432 Replacing central body molding on rear bumper

Release screws (1 and 2) on left/right.

Unscrew nuts (2).

IMPORTANT: Bumper trim (1) is locked at sides in mounting holder and must be unlocked for removal purposes (risk of damage).
