51 16... Removing and installing / replacing guide rail for roller sun blind of left or right rear door

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove inner trim on window frame, refer to 51 16... REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING INNER TRIM ON WINDOW FRAME (ROLLER SUN BLIND) OF LEFT OR RIGHT REAR DOOR
Remove front chest strip (chrome strip) on rear door, refer to 51 42 400 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING CHEST STRIP (CHROME STRIP) ON LEFT OR RIGHT REAR DOOR (WITH ROLLER SUN BLIND)

Release screws (1).

Carefully release catch (1).

Lever out guide rail (2) at top (A) and pull out in direction of arrow (B).

Installation:

Make sure guide rail (2) engages correctly in catch (1).

Installation:

If necessary, replace faulty spacer (1).

IMPORTANT: Guide rail (2) must not be damaged at the bottom otherwise the carriage will break.

Installation:

Insert guide rail correctly in brush cable (1) and guide (2).
