64 51 600 Removing And Installing/Replacing Evaporator For Rear Air Conditioner

Necessary Preliminary Tasks: 

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Installation: 

Make sure fitting (2) is correctly seated in mounting (3).

Unscrew nut (1).

Remove cooler box (2) in direction of arrow from rear air conditioner (3).

Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Unlock plug housing (2) and detach towards bottom.

Release screws (3).

Release clip (4).

Remove cover (5) in direction of arrow.

Installation: 

Make sure cover (5) is correctly seated on grommet (6).

Cut through cable tie (1).

Disconnect plug connections (2).

Release screw (1).

Release clips (2).

Remove distributor housing (3) in direction of arrow.

Installation: 

Make sure sealing frame (1) is correctly seated in groove of distributor housing (2).

If necessary, replace sealing frame (1).

Pull evaporator for rear air conditioner (1) in direction of arrow out of rear air conditioner housing (3).

Installation: 

Make sure grommet (2) is correctly seated in rear air conditioner housing (3).

Release screw (1).

Remove plate (2).

Pull out refrigerant lines (3) in direction of arrow.

Installation: 

Replace sealing rings.

Release screws (1).

Pull out expansion valve (2) in direction of arrow.

Remove plate (3).

Installation: 

Replace sealing rings.
