64 51 514 Replacing Valve For Rear A/C System

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:

Draw off refrigerant from A/C system. Refer to 64 50 009 DRAWING OFF, EVACUATING AND FILLING A/C SYSTEM (R 134A) .
Remove expansion valve cover. Refer to 64 51 525 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING EXPANSION VALVE (AUTOMATIC A/C HIGH) .

Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Press housing half (2) upwards slightly with a suitable screwdriver (3).

Feed out cable (4) in direction of arrow.

Installation:

Make sure housing half (2) is correctly seated on housing.

Unscrew nuts (1).

Release screw (2) slightly.

Pull out valve for rear A/C system (3).

Installation:

Replace sealing rings.
