51 43 070 Removing And Installing/Replacing Side Trim Panel, Footwell, On A-Pillar, Left

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:

Remove trim panel for pedal assembly. Refer to 51 45 185 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING TRIM FOR PEDAL ASSEMBLY .
Remove entrance cover strip, front (inside) left. Refer to 51 47 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING ENTRANCE COVER STRIP, FRONT (INSIDE) LEFT OR RIGHT .

Detach footrest (1) in direction of arrow from Velcro-type fasteners (2) and remove.

Installation:

Following parts of footrest (4) must not be damaged:

Velcro-type fasteners.
Guides.
Seal.

Release screw (1) and remove release lever (2).

Release screw (1) and remove expansion rivet.

Detach mucket (2) in area of side trim (5).

Release screw (3).

Unclip side trim (5) from clips (4) and remove.

Installation:

Following parts of side trim panel (4) must not be damaged or missing:

Clips.
Cover cap with retaining strap.
Insulating mat.
