51 21 280 Removing And Installing Or Replacing Door Brake On Left Or Right Front Door

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:

Close door windows.
Detach door brake from door pillar. Refer to 51 21... RELEASING DOOR RETAINER FROM LEFT OR RIGHT DOOR PILLAR .
Remove function carrier. Refer to 51 21 035 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING FUNCTION CARRIER ON LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT DOOR , 51 22 035 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FUNCTION CARRIER (WITHOUT ROLLER SUN BLIND) ON LEFT OR RIGHT REAR DOOR and/or 51 22 435 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FUNCTION CARRIER (WITH ROLLER SUN BLIND) ON LEFT OR RIGHT REAR DOOR .

Release screw (1) and remove door brake (2).

If necessary, detach seal (1).
