17 11 000 Removing And Installing Radiator (N73)

WARNING: Danger of scalding! Only perform this work after engine has cooled down.

Recycling:

Catch and dispose of coolant in a suitable container.

Observe country-specific waste-disposal regulations.

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:

Remove fan cowl. Refer to 17 11 031 REPLACING FAN COWL (N73) .
Remove front underbody protection.
Drain coolant. Refer to 17 00 005 DRAINING AND ADDING COOLANT (N73) .
Detach heat exchanger for automatic transmission from radiator. Refer to 17 22 010 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING HEAT EXCHANGER FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION (N73) .
Unlock and detach all coolant hoses on radiator. Refer to 17 00... INSTRUCTIONS FOR WORKING ON COOLING SYSTEM. .

Remove radiator (1) towards top.

Installation:

Ensure correct seating in side guides.

Vent cooling system and check for leaks. Refer to 17 00 039 VENTING COOLING SYSTEM AND CHECKING FOR LEAKS (N73) .
