51 12 801 Replacing bracket for rear bumper at left or right

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove rear bumper trim, refer to 51 12 157 REPLACING REAR BUMPER TRIM .

Release expander rivet (1) on wheel cover (2).

Release screw (1) and nut (2) and remove holder (3) in direction of arrow.

Installation:

Catches (1) on holder (3) must not be damaged.

If necessary, replace faulty metal nut (2).
