65 77 730 Removing and installing (replacing) vehicle center sensor

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:
- Disconnect battery negative lead and cover. Refer to 12 00 ... INSTRUCTIONS FOR DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY .
- Remove center console. Refer to 51 16 200 REMOVING AND INSTALLING STORAGE COMPARTMENT .
NOTE:
Middle rear compartment ventilation duct shown removed for purposes of clarity.
Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Release screws (2). Tightening torque, refer to 65 77 6AZ in AUDIO, NAVIGATION AND ANTI-THEFT - TIGHTENING TORQUES - E60 .
Remove vehicle center sensor (3).
Replacement:
Carry out programming/coding. Refer to DIAGNOSIS PROGRAMMING/CODING .
