51 16 200 Removing and installing storage compartment

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:

Remove trim for storage tray. Refer to 51 16 211 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING FINISHER FOR STORAGE TRAY .
Remove rear compartment fresh air grille. Refer to 64 22 191 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING REAR COMPARTMENT FRESH AIR GRILL .

Lever out trims (1) on left/right at rear end and pull out in direction of arrow.

2) Center console.

Installation:

Retainers (1) and guide (2) on trim (3) must not be damaged or missing.

Release screws (1) on storage compartment (2).

If necessary, unlock plug connections.

Release handbrake lever gaiter on storage compartment (2).

Release screw (1) on left/right.

Lift storage compartment (2) at rear.

Feed through handbrake lever gaiter towards bottom and unlock plug connections below storage compartment (2).

Feed out storage compartment (2) in direction of arrow over handbrake lever and remove towards rear.

Installation:

Do not damage guides (2) when feeding storage compartment (1) in.
