52 14 023 Removing and installing / replacing drive for left or right active seat

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:

Remove front seat. Refer to 52 14 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT (NORMAL/ELECTRIC) .
Remove seat cover with padding for front seat. Refer to 52 14 400 REPLACING SEAT COVER FOR LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT (NORMAL/ELECTRIC) .

Release screws (1), tip seat towards rear.

Installation:

Tightening torque, refer to 52 10 6AZ in SEATS - TIGHTENING TORQUES - 545I (4.4L) E60/N62 .

Unclip hydraulic pockets (1) with supports on left and right from flex mat.

NOTE: If necessary, release clips (2). Remove hydraulic pockets (1) from supports (3).

Feed hydraulic pockets (1) through flex mat towards bottom.

Detach retaining points for drive in area (4).

Disconnect plug connection.

Remove drive (1).

NOTE: Drive and hydraulic pockets form a single unit and can only be replaced completely.
