72 11 092 Removing and installing or replacing rear left or right seat belts

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove cover for seat belt . See 51 46 030 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING TRIM FOR BELT GUIDE ON LEFT OR RIGHT (CONVERTIBLE) .
- Remove rear seat back . See SEATS - REPAIR (CONVERTIBLE) or SEATS - REPAIR (COUPE) .
Installation:
- Microencapsulated screws (Loctite) must be replaced and may not be reused
- Screw connection must be completed within 20 minutes (start of curing)
- Microencapsulated screws must not be retightened
- Clean thread of nut beforehand in event of repeated use
Removing left or right inertia reel unit:
Release screw (1) on inertia reel mechanism (2).
Tightening torques: 72 11 21A, see 72 11 SEAT BELTS
Remove inertia reel mechanism (2).
Installation:
Pay attention to coding.
Release screw (1).
Tightening torque: 72 11 24A, see 72 11 SEAT BELTS
Release screw (1).
Tightening torques: 72 11 22A, see 72 11 SEAT BELTS
Remove anchor fitting (2).
Installation:
Pin determines the installation position and prevents the anchor fitting from turning.
