Special Tools Required

There is a danger of trapping when working in the area of the convertible top system.

Make sure convertible top is not actuated during work.

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Unclip trim (1) for belt deflector with a suitable plastic wedge.

Release screw (1) and remove belt deflection fitting (2).

Tightening torque, see 72 11 03AZ in 72 11 SEAT BELTS and/or 72 11 SEAT BELTS .

Unclip trim (3).

Release screw (4).

Unclip side trim panel upper section (5) with special tool 00 9 317  from retainers.

Feed side trim panel upper section (5) out of seat belt and lay to one side.

Installation: 

Make sure trim (3), side trim panel upper section (5) and belt guide are correctly seated.
