51 44... Removing And Installing/Replacing Front Roofliner Trim

When working on trim panel components, make sure that the sensitive surfaces are not scratched or damaged.
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- If necessary, open convertible top
- Remove roof switch cluster . See 61 31 043 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING ROOF SWITCH CENTER .
- Remove both front mirror lights . See 63 31 050 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING MIRROR LIGHT (128i) or 63 31 050 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING MIRROR LIGHT (135i) .
- Remove both sun visors
- Remove both trims for front roof pillar
Fold back mucket (1) at top to one side and release screw (2) underneath on both sides.
Installation:
Make sure mucket (1) is correctly seated on trim (3) along dashed line.
Release mucket (1) from trim (2).
Pull back trim (2) in direction of arrow and remove.
Installation:
Make sure mucket (1) is correctly seated.
Installation:
Holder (1) and guide (2) on trim (3) must not be damaged.
