52 26 411 Replacing backrest cover for rear seat (through-loading system) on left

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Removing backrest frame: 

Release screw and remove backrest outer mount.

Tightening torque: see 5AZ in 52 26 REAR SEATS (THROUGH-LOADING SYSTEM) .

Unclip guide (sleeve) for backrest center mount.

E61 only: 

Release screws and lever out trim.

If necessary, feed strap of central seat belt out of trim.

Remove covers (1) and release screws.

If necessary, unclip trims with special tool 00 9 317 .

Lift out cover.

Lift cover in marked area with special tool 00 9 317 out of rear panel.

Remove frame.

Detaching cover and padding: 

Installation: 

Insert new retainers with special tool 52 0 050 . In so doing, enclose wire in padding and trim wire of cover.
