51 33 000 Removing and installing/replacing power window unit in left or right front door (Security)

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove front DOOR WINDOW GLASS
IMPORTANT:
The insides of the windows have a polycarbonate coating which must not be damaged or scratched.
Clean with antistatic plastic cleaner only.
Clean with antistatic plastic cleaner only.
Slacken screws (1) at bottom.
Tightening torque: see 2AZ in 51 33 POWER WINDOWS, FRONT
Release screws (1) on power window unit at top.
Tightening torque: see 2AZ in 51 33 POWER WINDOWS, FRONT
Release cable tie (2).
Disconnect plug connection on drive (1).
Raise power window unit and remove past lower screwing points downwards completely.
Installation:
Make sure that power window rails are parallel, readjusting if necessary.
When installing power window unit, replace anti-rattle protector (foam pad) between power window motor and protective mat if necessary.
Replacement:
Make sure that spindle protection tubes at top are sealed with plugs (1).
NOTE:
The power window unit must be normalized after it has been installed.

- Open corresponding window completely.
- Operate corresponding power window switch in "Close" position (second switch stage).
- Once the upper end position has been reached, hold power window switch in position for approx. 500 secs. longer.
- Check function.
IMPORTANT:
Power windows have no anti-trapping mechanism. There is no "Close" one-touch function or "Close" comfort function in the Security version.
