52 24 037 Removing and installing/replacing seat frame

Special tools required:

00 9 317 . See MAINTENANCE AND GENERAL INFORMATION - SPECIAL TOOLS .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove rear seat

Removing seat frame:

Feed cover welt (1) all round with special tool 00 9 317 out of retaining lugs (partly marked through recesses)
Detach cover lugs in areas (2) from locking pins
Carefully pull cover back to top side and pull Velcro-type fastener off frame
Remove seat frame

Installation:

Align and press on Velcro-type fastener
Lay cable in opening of padding and through bore in frame
Feed welt back in with special tool 00 9 317
