61 31 238 Removing and installing/replacing Lane Departure Warning motor electronic (standard steering wheel)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Disconnect BATTERY NEGATIVE LEAD
Remove AIRBAG UNIT

Release screws (1) and remove retaining plate (2).

Tightening torque 32 33 2AZ .

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Release screw (2).

Release screws (3) and remove motor electronic (4) complete with electrical wires.

Installation:

Replace screws (2 and 3).

Tightening torque 32 33 3AZ
Tightening torque 32 33 4AZ

Ensure correct cable routing.
