65 20 200 Removing And Installing (Replacing) Antenna Tuner

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Disconnect negative battery cable. See 61 20 900 DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY NEGATIVE LEAD .
Remove rear left head restraint . See 52 24 380 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING REAR LEFT OR RIGHT HEAD RESTRAINT MOUNT (NORMAL) .
Remove panel for roof pillar at rear left. See 51 43 255 REMOVING AND INSTALLING / REPLACING TRIM FOR REAR LEFT OR RIGHT ROOF PILLAR (FRONT) .

NOTE: For purposes of clarity, the following illustrations show the panel for the rear parcel shelf removed.

Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.

Loosen screws (2).

Feed antenna tuner (3) in direction of arrow out of guides (4) and remove.

Installation:

Make sure antenna tuner is correctly seated in inner guide (1) in each case.

Replacement:

Carry out coding/programming. See VEHICLE PROGRAMMING AND CODING .
