64 11 826 Replacing SERVODRIVE For Recirculated Air Flaps (Automatic A/C High)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove battery negative lead . See 12 00 ... INSTRUCTIONS FOR DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY .
Remove glovebox . See 51 16 366 REMOVING AND INSTALLING RIGHT GLOVEBOX WITH HOUSING or 51 16 367 REMOVING AND INSTALLING RIGHT GLOVEBOX (WITH ACTIVE KNEE PROTECTOR) WITH HOUSING .

Release screw (1).

Detach right footwell air duct (2) in direction of arrow and remove towards bottom.

Release screws (1).

Fold back fuse box (2) in direction of arrow and place to one side.

Remove retainer (1).

Unclip linkage (2) in direction of arrow.

Release screw (3) and pull back holder (4) in direction of arrow.

Disconnect plug connection (5) and remove holder (4).

Press lock (1) and unclip servodrive (2) in direction of arrow from holder (3).

Installation:

If necessary, align shaft of flap(s) to be actuated to position of servodrive to be installed.
