63 21 183 Removing And Installing/Replacing Left Or Right Rear Light (From 03/2005) (On Rear Lid)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Detach trim (1) in area (A) of rear light (2) downwards.

Area (B) of trim (1) remains on vehicle.

Installation: 

Ensure trim (1) is correctly seated.

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Unscrew nuts (2).

NOTE: Secure rear light against falling out.

Unclip rear light (1) and remove.

Installation: 

If necessary, replace faulty clip (2).

Make sure there is a uniform gap (outer) all round for rear lid.

Make sure sealing frame for rear light is correctly seated; replace sealing frame  if necessary. See 63 21 101 REPLACING SEALING FRAME FOR LEFT OR RIGHT REAR LIGHT (ON SIDE PANEL) .

Replacement: 

If necessary, remove bulb  . See 63 99 315 REPLACING BULB(S) FOR LEFT OR RIGHT REAR LIGHT (FROM 03/2005) .
