51 24 100 Removing And Installing/Replacing Rear Lid Lock (Upper Section)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Unlock catch (1) and detach Bowden cables (2 and 3) from rear lid lock upper section (5).

Version with manual unlocking: 

Installation: 

Bowden cable (2) must be correctly positioned in guide (4).

Release screws (1).

Unscrew rear lid lock upper section (2), disconnect plug connection and remove.

Tightening torque 51 24 5AZ.  See BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES -- ALPINA .

Installation: 

Perform function check with rear lid open.

Replacement: 

Release screws (1).

Detach servodrive (2) from rear lid lock upper section (3) in direction of arrow.
