51 24 ... Removing And Installing/Replacing Angle Transmitter For Rear Lid Actuation (ELECTROHYDRAULIC-Fully Automatic)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Lever out cable holder (1).

Lever out cover (2) and remove.

3 Luggage compartment lid

Release screw (1).

NOTE: Before nuts (3) are released, a 2nd person must open rear lid and hold angle transmitter (2).

Unscrew nuts (3).

Tightening torque 51 24 7AZ.  See BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES -- ALPINA .

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Remove angle transmitter (2) with retaining bracket (3).

4 Right rear lid hinge

Installation: 

Angle transmitter (2) is initialized by automatic closing and opening once.
