51 13 280 Removing And Installing Trim Strip On Roof Frame At Left Or Right

IMPORTANT: Work must be carried out with a second person assisting (risk of damage).
Trim strip must not be bent and seals must rest correctly on windscreen (wind noises).

First lever out trim strip (1) at rear, then unclip remainder and pull at front out of seal (3).

Installation: 

First push trim strip (1) at front into seal (3), clip in at rear flush with edge (2) and then clip in remainder.

IMPORTANT: Replace clips (1 and 2) after each removal.

Installation: 

Locks (3 and 4) of clips (1 and 2) must not be damaged.

NOTE: For long version, seven clips (2) are fitted.

If necessary, replace faulty clips (1 to 4) or seal (5) of trim strip (6), refer to REPLACING TRIM STRIP ON ROOF FRAME .
