11 65 ... Removing And Installing/Replacing Radial Compressor Centrifugal Clutch (BMW ALPINA B7)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Release screws (1) and remove belt pulley (2).

Installation: 

Tighten screws crosswise.

Tightening torque: 9 Nm.

Take off spacer ring (1).

Installation: 

Align bores of spacer (1) to threaded holes of radial compressor.

Press linings of centrifugal clutch (1) apart slightly and remove.

Installation: 

First position one lining on one side, press apart slightly and then feed second lining into clutch housing.

IMPORTANT: Color markings (2) must point outwards!
Linings of centrifugal clutch (1) must be pushed into clutch housing of radial compressor up to stop!

Measure lining thickness (1).

Wear limit is reached at a thickness of 2 mm and then the linings must be replaced. 

IMPORTANT: Springs (2) must be inserted into the center bore (3) of the linings!
