11 22 000 Removing And Installing/Replacing Flywheel (N62/N62TU)

Special tools required: 

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Automatic transmissions only: 

Block flywheel (1) with special tools 11 9 260  / 11 9 263  / 11 9 264. 

Unfasten flywheel screws.

Remove flywheel (1).

Installation: 

Clean threads on flywheel screws in crankshaft.

Flywheel (1) is secured with an alignment pin.

Fit flywheel (1).

Fit new flywheel screws.

Tightening torque. See ENGINE - TIGHTENING TORQUES -- ALPINA .

Manual transmissions only: 

Block flywheel (dual-mass) with special tools 11 9 260  / 11 9 262  / 11 9 263. 

Release flywheel screws with special tool 11 4 180. 

Installation: 

Flywheel (1) is secured with an alignment pin.

IMPORTANT: Do not use screw locking varnish.

Tightening torque. See ENGINE - TIGHTENING TORQUES -- ALPINA .
