64 11 970 Replacing Fogging Sensor

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove two-part mirror base cover . See 51 16 060 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING INTERIOR REARVIEW MIRROR (WITH AUTOBEAM) , 51 16 060 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING INTERIOR REARVIEW MIRROR (WITH JAPANESE TOLL MIRROR) or 51 16 060 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING INTERIOR REARVIEW MIRROR (WITH RAIN SENSOR) .

Unclip fogging sensor (1) from retaining tabs (2).

Disconnect plug connection (3).

Installation:

Make sure fogging sensor (1) is securely seated.

Installation:

Sensor surface (1) must be clean and free from grease.
