51 44 013 Removing And Installing/Replacing ROOFLINER (Version With Panorama Sunroof)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove glass sunroof lid at front
Remove sun visors and counter supports on left/right. See 51 16 080 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING SUN VISOR AND LEFT OR RIGHT COUNTER SUPPORT .
Remove roof switch cluster . See 61 31 043 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING ROOF SWITCH CENTRE .
Remove trims for roof pillar at front (A-pillar) left/right. See 51 43 201 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING TRIM FOR ROOF PILLAR AT FRONT (A-PILLAR), LEFT OR RIGHT .
Remove all handles . See 51 16 450 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING REAR LEFT/RIGHT GRAB HANDLE .
Remove trims for door pillar at top (B-pillar) left/right. See 51 43 148 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING TRIM ON LEFT OR RIGHT DOOR PILLAR (TOP) .
Remove trims for roof pillar at rear (C-pillar) left/right. See 51 43 251 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING TRIM PANEL FOR LEFT OR RIGHT REAR ROOF PILLAR (C - PILLAR) .
Remove trims for roof pillar at rear (D-pillar) left/right. See 51 43 259 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING TRIM FOR REAR ROOF PILLAR (D-PILLAR), LEFT OR RIGHT .
Remove luggage compartment wheel arch trim on passenger side. See 51 47 151 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LEFT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT WHEEL ARCH TRIM or 51 47 161 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING RIGHT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT WHEEL ARCH TRIM .

Release screws (1).

Version with roller combination (dividing net):

Fold back cover (1) for dividing net mount (2).

Release screw (3) and remove dividing net mount (2).

Installation:

Observe position indications on reverse side of dividing net mount (2).

Release expansion rivet (1).

Fold forward both rear seat backrests
Move both front seat backrests as far back as possible
Pull off muckets of front and rear doors in roof area

IMPORTANT: The following tasks must be carried out with a second person assisting:

Support roofliner (1) at front.

Unclip roofliner (1) at clips (2) in sunroof frame area in downward direction.

Installation:

If necessary, replace faulty clips (2).

Detach rear lid mucket in area of roofliner (1).

Release clip (2) at roofliner (1) with fork lever from body roofliner.

Carefully tilt roofliner (1) and feed out towards rear.

Installation:

Clip (2) and metal retainers in body roofliner must not be damaged, replace if necessary

Replacement:

Remove left/right mirror light . See 63 31 050 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING MIRROR LIGHT .
Remove left/right ceiling light . See 63 31 015 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LEFT OR RIGHT INTERIOR LIGHT .

Version with roller combination (dividing net):

Cut out pre-marked cutout areas (1) for left/right dividing net mounts with a scalpel.

IMPORTANT: Ensure a clean cut so that the headliner material is not damaged on the inside.

Installation:

Installation sequence:

Secure roofliner with mucket
Secure roofliner at front to clips
Snap roofliner at rear into clip
Secure expander rivets to roofliner at front
Screw down grab handles at front on left/right
Screw down grab handles at rear on left/right
Screw down sun visors and counter supports
Add final details to vehicle
