Removal & Installation

- Remove center console. See CENTER CONSOLE .
- Using Special Tool (32 1 030), press stop (1) of adjusting spring back until retaining hook (2) engages in stop (1). See Figure. This will lock adjuster unit (ASZE).
- Unclip mounting clip (1) upwards out of balance arm (2). See Figure.
- Guide parking brake Bowden cables (1) inwards with a screwdriver and pull out of balance bar (2). See Figure.
- Disconnect cable (1) from parking brake check switch. See Fig 1. Release screws (2) and remove parking brake lever (3).
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten parking brake to body screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Adjust parking brake. See PARKING BRAKE under ADJUSTMENTS.
