Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Secure engine bonnet/hood in service position. See 51 00 ... SERVICE POSITION OF ENGINE HOOD/BONNET
- Remove design covers
- Remove both intake filter housings. See 13 71 010 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LEFT (OR RIGHT) INTAKE FILTER HOUSING (N73)
- Remove center of assembly compartment bulkhead. See 51 71 085 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CENTER OF ASSEMBLY COMPARTMENT BULKHEAD
Assemble transverse member 00 0 200 with special tools 00 0 202, 00 0 204, 00 0 208. See 00 0 200 CROSS MEMBER
IMPORTANT:
Avoid a change of engine position in the transversal or longitudinal direction.
Always make sure there is sufficient clearance between the engine (or its attachment parts) and the body.

Position transverse member 00 0 200 with a 2nd person helping by way of rests (1) on bolt connections of side panels.

Secure special tool 11 0 000 to spindle 00 0 202. See 11 0 000 ENGINE LIFTER FOR REMOVING AND INSTALLING ENGINES00 0 200 CROSS MEMBER
Attach suitable chains to special tool 11 0 000 and suspend from both engine suspension eyelets. See 11 0 000 ENGINE LIFTER FOR REMOVING AND INSTALLING ENGINES

Tighten down all adjusting screws and nuts on transverse member 00 0 200. See 00 0 200 CROSS MEMBER
Tighten down all adjusting screws and nuts on transverse member 00 0 200. See 00 0 200 CROSS MEMBER
Unscrew nuts (1).
Raise engine approx. 10 mm with transverse member.
Installation:
Replace self-locking nuts.
Tightening torque 22 11 2AZ. See 22 11 ENGINE SUSPENSION
