64 11 208 Replacing Heating Element (High Automatic A/C)

WARNING:

Avoid contact with refrigerant and refrigerant oil.

IMPORTANT:

Risk of damage!

Restart engine only when A/C system has been correctly filled.

NOTE: If A/C system is opened for more than 24 hours: Replacing drier insert for A/C system  . See 64 53 551 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING CONDENSER FOR A/C SYSTEM .

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

After installation:

Remove sound insulation for A/C unit (1, 2).

If necessary, detach cable ties (1).

Release retainers (2) in direction of arrow.

Installation: 

Replace all sealing rings.

Release screws (1) and remove holder for pipes (2) in direction of arrow.

Remove pipes (3).

Pull heating element (1) in direction of arrow out of heater (2).
