52 17 035 Removing And Installing/Replacing Gearing For Head Restraint Adjustment

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove SHAFT for head restraint adjustment
Release screws (4) on left and right.
Tightening torque: 2.5 ± 0.5 Nm
Remove retainer (1) on left and right.
Remove gearing (2) on left and right straight towards front.
Installation:
To ensure identical adjustment of gearings (2), carry out following work step on both gearings:
- Unscrew component (4) until threaded rod (5) is flush with edge (3).
