23 42... Bleeding procedure after replacing electric motor (GS7S47BG SMG)

NOTE: This bleeding procedure is only to be carried out after the following tasks:

Electric motor of hydraulic pump

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove UNDERBODY PROTECTION

Undo screw plug (1) on underside of pump block a few thread turns. Do not release plug completely.

Tightening torque: 24 Nm

Carry out bleeding of clutch slave cylinder by means of BMW diagnosis system ("Service functions").

If fluid emerges from the plug opening, screw in and tighten the plug.

If no fluid emerges, activate the bleeding procedure again until fluid emerges.

After completing work:

CHECK FLUID LEVEL in hydraulic system, topping up if necessary
Clear fault memory
