13 90 500 Replacing Tank Venting Valve (S85)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Read out fault memory of DME control unit; if necessary, work through test schedules.
Switch off ignition.
Remove intake air manifold. See 11 61 050 REMOVING AND INSTALLING AIR INTAKE MANIFOLD (S85) .

NOTE: The tank venting valve is fitted under the intake air manifold.

NOTE: Illustration shows and description refers to the left tank venting valve. The procedure is identical for the right tank venting valve.

Unlock plug (1) and remove.

Unlock hose (2) on tank venting valve and disconnect.

Release clamp (3), detach hose.

Release screw.

Remove tank venting valve (4).
