41 51 080 Removing And Installing/Replacing Front Left Or Right Door

IMPORTANT: Do not damage adjoining body parts.
Cars with side airbags:
see OBSERVE AIRBAG SAFETY REGULATIONS  .

The illustrations are schematic representations and are to be applied to the relevant vehicle type.

Open door.

WARNING: Side airbag is installed in door trim panel: The battery must be disconnected. See 61 20 900 DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY NEGATIVE LEAD prior to all repair work on the body.

Release screw on connector frame.

Release screws between both hinge elements at top and bottom.

Tightening torque, 10.5 Nm.

Release screw (1) on door retainer.

Unhinge door by moving upwards and placing it on a suitable surface.

Pull plug connection from door pillar, unlock by pulling out bar and detach.

Installation: 

If necessary, adjust, see FRONT DOOR  .
