51 24 165 Removing and installing/replacing side left or right rear lid buffer stops

Special tools required:

00 9 317

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT CAPPING

NOTE: The operation is described on the left side; proceed in the same way for the right side.

Lever out clips (1) with special tool 00 9 317 at WATER GUTTER TRIM (2) .

Detach mucket (3) along water gutter (2).

Release screws (2) and nuts (3) on stop.

Installation:

Adjust both buffer stops (1) (work is described in ADJUSTING REAR LID ).

Tightening torque for screws (2) 41 62 9AZ .

Tightening torque for nuts (3) 41 62 9AZ .
