51 47 440 Removing and installing/replacing rear carpet on seat pan

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove both FRONT SEATS .
• Remove REAR SEAT .
• Remove both PANELS FOR DOOR PILLARS 
• Remove both rear inner ENTRANCE COVER STRIPS 
• Remove HANDBRAKE LEVER

Version with central bass speaker: 

• Remove both CENTRAL BASS SPEAKER TRIMS .

Build date after 09/2005: 

• Remove AIRBAG CONTROL UNIT .

Build date up to 08/2005: 

If necessary, disconnect plug connections from air duct (1).

Remove air duct (1).

Lay back cable (2) and feed out carpet (3) towards rear/top.

Installation: 

Make sure that handbrake Bowden cable, cable, apertures for air guides and attachment points are correctly positioned.
