51 16 383 Removing and installing/replacing damper for glovebox

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove glovebox with housing  (See 51 16 366 REMOVING AND INSTALLING RIGHT GLOVE BOX WITH HOUSING (WITHOUT ACTIVE KNEE PROTECTION)  and 51 16 367 REMOVING AND INSTALLING RIGHT GLOVEBOX WITH HOUSING (WITH ACTIVE KNEE PROTECTION) )

Version without active knee protection: 

Press catch (1) together and slide damper (2) in direction of arrow.

Remove damper (2) in inward direction.

Release clip (1) and remove holder (2).

Installation: 

Catch (5) and guide (4) on damper (3) must not be damaged or missing.

Version with active knee protection: 

Release screws (1) and damper (2).
