51 32 211 Replacing front left or right rubber guide for left or right door window

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove rear-view mirror  on front door (See 51 16 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING MIRROR ON LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT DOOR )
• Remove door trim panel  (See 51 41 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT DOOR TRIM PANEL )
• Remove sound insulation  in front area (See 51 48 ... REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING SOUND INSULATION IN FRONT DOOR, LEFT OR RIGHT )

Detach rubber guide (1) in area (A) from door.

Pull rubber guide (1) out of window guide rail and remove towards top.

Installation: 

Moisten rubber guide (1) with water before fitting.

Slide rubber guide (1) from above into window guide rail and if necessary retighten at bottom.

Make sure rubber guide (1) is correctly seated on door and door window glass.

Installation: 

Rubber guide (1) must not be damaged in corners (2).
