51 13 424 Removing and installing/replacing frame on left or right rear light

Necessary preliminary tasks:

NOTE: The removal instructions are described on the left side; proceed in the same way for the right side.

Release expander rivets (1) and screw (2).

Unclip bumper trim (1) sideways from holder (2).

Release screws (3 and 5) and feed out frame (4).

Installation:

If necessary, screws (3) are fitted with washers.

Installation:

Guides (1) on frame (2) must not be damaged or missing.

Installation sequence:

Install frame
Install rear light (See 63 21 170 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LEFT OR RIGHT REAR LIGHT )
Check gap dimensions of trim to rear light and side panel, adjust if necessary
Secure bumper trim
