51 21 170 Removing and installing or replacing outside handle from left or right front door

Special tools required:

Lift outside handle (1) and secure with special tool 00 9 322 (plastic wedge).

Release screw (1) on outside handle (2).

Lever out outside handle (1) and turn forwards until area (2) is at top. Remove outside handle (1) towards front in this position.

Installation:

Journal (1) and thread (2) on outside handle (3) must not be damaged.

Lever out seal (1) at front/rear towards outside and remove towards bottom.

Installation:

Mounts (1) and (2) of seal (3) must not be damaged.
