63 12 860 Replacing Control Unit For Left Xenon Headlight

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove headlight, refer to 63 12 010 REMOVING AND INSTALLING LEFT HEADLIGHT (XENON HEADLIGHT) 

Up to 10/2003: 

Release screws (1) and hose clip (2).

Remove protective cap (3).

Installation: 

If necessary, replace seal for protective cap (3).

Turn ignition unit of xenon lamp (1) counterclockwise through approx. 45° and remove.

Pull out ignition unit of xenon lamp (1) through opening in protective cap.

Remove control unit for xenon headlight.

From 10/2003: 

Release screws (1).

Remove control unit for xenon headlight (2) from xenon headlight (3).
