Height Setting

NOTE: For further information, see appropriate FRONT article.
  1. Check oil level for power steering unit. It should be approximately 25 mm below the edge.
  2. Start engine.
  3. Unfasten control rod joint from lever on control valve. Adjust height setting by moving lever in forwards direction to raise vehicle and in reverse direction to lower vehicle. To measure ride height see HEIGHT SETTING  under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING. For nominal value see RIDE HEIGHT SPECIFICATIONS  table.
  4. Switch off engine.
  5. Secure lever in with a drill (3 mm). When doing so, do not move lever over dead center position in direction for "lowering". See Fig 1 .
  6. Tighten control rod joint in long slot of lever. Ensure that ball stud is located correctly on lever.
  7. If necessary, check and correct position of lever on stabilizer.
  8. Remove drill.
  9. Check oil level again.
