34 51 550 Removing and installing pre-boost pump DSC3

NOTE: After completing work:
  • Connect brake fluid changer.
  • Activate pre-charging pump with Diagnosis and Information System.
  • Vent front-axle circuit.

Before beginning work:

Draw off brake fluid.

Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect. Release screws (2).

Installation: 

Ensure proper locking of the plug connector.

Detach brake lines (1).

CAUTION: Brake fluid may emerge.
Do not mix up brake lines.

Installation: 

  1. Line connections.
  2. HZ: Line to tandem brake master cylinder
  3. BA: Line to brake fluid expansion tank
  4. Tightening torque 34 32 1AZ.

Slide holder (2) in direction of arrow.

Remove sleeve (1) and rubber buffer (2).

Installation: 

  1. Ensure proper seating of rubber mounts.

Pull pre-charging pump (1) in direction of arrow and remove towards top.

Installation: 

  1. Ensure correct seating.

Convert holder.
